Lobster Season Begins in San Diego!

Lobster season begins in San Diego this Saturday morning (midnight). You can bet that there will be tons of people out on the pier with their bug nets soaking in the water. Waiting for those delicious crustaceans to appear as they pull them up is a sight to see. So, to those out there getting ready, GOOD LUCK!

Make sure you know the rules and regulations. Breaking even one of the rules can be costly. So have fun!!!

Here’s a great photo of a San Diego sunrise. Here in San Diego, we’ve grown accustom to seeing great sunsets to the west. But we rarely see great photos of a San Diego sunrise. Especially one from the San Diego Bay… just to let you know, that’s the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel that’s being constructed, located right beside the San Diego Convention Center. Again, great photo!

Balboa Park… The nation’s largest urban cultural park.

Some of the best things in life are free. In San Diego, Balboa Park organizations offer free Tuesday admission on a rotating basis throughout the month. And yes, I did say FREE. I know it’s hard to fathom, since Balboa Park has a number of wonderful museums and art galleries that no one in their right mind would think it’s free. But it is! Some museums may offer complimentary admission to their permanent collections only and charge admission to special exhibitions.

It’s no secret, but sometimes it sure seems that way with a handful of people knowing about this. I’m just doing my part as a native San Diegan on spreading the word of some of the great attractions San Diego has to offer. This is just some of San Diego’s hidden jewels that I’ve known and love.
